What the review looks at
It works the quote the way a friend in the trade would: first what you are actually being sold, in plain English, and what that system can and cannot run. Then the arithmetic: dollars per watt of panels and dollars per kilowatt-hour of battery, compared against what installs are going for this year, with the reasons a premium might be fair (steep roof, a main panel upgrade, top-tier equipment) or not. Then the components one by one, the parts that are missing or vague (the main battery fuse, disconnects, wire sizes, grounding, monitoring, who owns the app, permits, commissioning, warranty terms), and the red flags that would make us slow down. It ends with a list of questions to ask, what is usually negotiable, and a clear read: appears reasonable, reasonable once specific issues are clarified, or get additional quotes before proceeding, and why.
What it cannot do
It has not seen your roof, your panel, your shading, or your local code, and it does not know the installer. Treat it as a second opinion that makes you a harder customer, not as a verdict. If you are still sizing the system, start with the system planner; if you already have a plan saved there, it can write a full design review of it.
